Emblaze First ELSEThe First ELSE project from Emblaze was scrapped after critical delays. It's a shame as it was a smartphone like no other, with a fantastic interface and superb software. The powerful smartphone was a result of a collaboration with Emblaze and ACCESS; a Japanese company best known for their NetFront web browsers and ACCESS Linux Platform. It is the ELSE INTUITION operating system that makes this phone different to other smartphones. The interface is extremely ergonomic, using swipes and gestures with one hand. Users can create shortcuts from frequently used applications and can easily scroll through menus with just their thumb.
The device features similar applications to other smartphones including a web browser, media capabilities, HSDPA (3.5G), Wi-Fi, GPS and a decent 5 megapixel camera which are all complimented by a fantastic 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen. Other useful features of the First ELSE include a 3.5mm audio socket, 16GB of internal memory and Bluetooth. |
